Margaret Anne Morgan, age 80, of Glendive, Montana, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026. She was born on January 3, 1946.
Margaret was a woman of extraordinary warmth and quiet dignity. From her earliest years in Glendive, she carried herself with a grace that drew people near and made them feel at home. Whether welcoming neighbors at the door or sitting around the family table, she had a rare gift for making every person feel seen and valued.
She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of everyone around her with her kindness, strength, and sense of humor. Her laughter was one of a kind โ bright, infectious, and entirely her own โ and it filled every room she entered. Even in difficult moments, she had a way of finding the lighter side of life and sharing it generously with those she loved.
Margaret had deep roots in the Montana landscape she called home. She loved the wide-open skies and rugged beauty of the Badlands, and she found peace in the natural world around Glendive. Makoshika State Park โ with its ancient formations and sweeping views โ held a special place in her heart. It was a place where she felt connected to something larger than herself, and it is there, as per her wishes, that her ashes will be returned to the land she so dearly loved.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with family above all else. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren, delighted in sharing home-cooked meals, and found joy in the simple rhythms of everyday life. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her heart always ready to give.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, siblings, and a wide circle of dear friends whose lives she touched in countless ways. She was preceded in death by those who went before her and who now, we believe, welcomed her home.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers, neighbors, and friends who offered such compassionate support during this time. Your kindness has meant more than words can express.
"She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her."
